Emirates Airline has selected Checkout.com as its primary payment processor for global e-commerce transactions, replacing a legacy acquiring relationship with a major bank that had been in place for over a decade. The mandate covers 150+ markets and an estimated $8 billion in annual payment volume.
The win is Checkout.com's largest disclosed airline account and signals accelerating enterprise PSP switching — a trend that benefits modern processors at the expense of bank-owned merchant acquirers. Emirates cited superior authorization rates, transparent pricing, and real-time data access as decision factors.
